Three years of love and design. Outer Media started in 2009 by Salvador Fernandez. Welcome to my portfolio web site, this is a place where I showcase my creativity and designs. I worked as an IT specialist for Comcast, the biggest internet and cable provider in the United States. While working on the back end troubleshooting servers and internet connections I became fascinated with how the web worked, and this great experience led me to study Multimedia Graphic Design and Communications.

I’m a multimedia specialist focusing in graphic design and web development with a two year diploma in Multimedia Graphic Design and Communications. The Multimedia Graphic Design program has prepared me to work with solid design concepts. I am taking my ideas into full production using computers equipped with industry current graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress and Adobe Photoshop. Multimedia is the next step for the graphic design industry. It brings together “all media” into one format. Multimedia allows me to create the interactive visuals essential in today’s digital advertising. I have become efficient on Macromedia Flash software; JavaScript (to be interactive on the Internet); Shockwave (which enables animation on the Internet); Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Psychology of Advertising, Typography, Three Dimension Design, Business Development, and Graphic Print Production. I have learned how to create visually dynamic web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript & JQuery, PHP, ASP, XTML/XML & Content Management Systems (CMS).

My passion continues as I learn more, I’m building my skills on a daily basis as I gather projects here and there. I’m about quality… creativity… exceeding the norms of customer service and, above all, getting the desired result following industry standards. Some of my recent clients are College of the North Atlantic, Max Arts, Athletics, Wellness, The Roses Heritage Inn, Cool Entertainment, Ritmo Latino, to name a few. I’am currently based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and open to professional and freelance jobs associated with different areas of design and web development.
